Dear Folks, I never met my Grandmother Dunahoe. She died decades before I was born. However, I have felt her influence all my life through the life of my mother. I think it was possible that the first word my mother ever said as a baby was "Momma". Mother lived to be 92 years old. In her last days she began reliving her childhood in her mind. She once again was calling for her "Momma". From beginning to end, my grandmother had a positive impact on the life of my mother and that had a positive impact on me. Other than the love of God, there is no other greater power for good than the love of a mother for her children. Let us honor our mothers on May 11. Bro. Bill Holmes |
