Tribute to a Sunday School Teacher

 I have a story I'd like to share.
It's about someone you've known somewhere.
When I was small we played some games.
We sang some songs and learned some names.

This person was one who helped me know
Right from wrong and which way to go.
Who was it that was always there
And include me in her daily prayer?

Who taught me to live by the Golden Rule?
It was my childhood teacher of Sunday School.
She taught and shared and showed me the way.
She even cried on that special day.

When I understood and came to see
That only only Jesus could set me free.
It's people like her that we need more of
To teach our children of Jesus Christ's love.

So thanks, all you teachers for caring so much
And for all the young lives that your love has touched.
This tribute's a gift I'm happy to give.
May God bless you each as long as you live.
